Can Life Survive Gamma-ray Bursts in the High-redshift Universe?
Ye Li and Bing Zhang 2015 ApJ 810 41
The chances of a planet being exposed to a lethal GRB increases at higher redshifts. Simulations show that at z=1.5 (3), 50% (10%) of galaxies have a low enough rate of GRB exposure for life to survive.
