Constraints on Quenching of z≲2 Massive Galaxies from the Evolution of the Average Sizes of Star-Forming and Quenched Populations in COSMOS
A. L. Faisst et al 2017 ApJ 839 71
Observations of z≲2 massive galaxies suggest that quenching is a fast process in galaxies with mass of ≥10^11 solar masses, and that major mergers likely play a significant role in the final steps of their evolution.
