Kerry Hensley is the co-editor of AAS Nova.
She received a BA in astrophysics and Chinese from Williams College in 2014 and a PhD in astronomy from Boston University in 2021. Her dissertation work focused on understanding how solar ultraviolet and X-ray photons affect layers of charged particles in the atmospheres of Venus and Mars.
Kerry was the inaugural AAS Media Fellow, an American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Mass Media Science and Engineering Fellow, and an author for Astrobites. She is thrilled to rejoin the AAS team as the Communications Specialist and to highlight new findings about our universe on AAS Nova.
