CANDELS: Elevated Black Hole Growth in the Progenitors of Compact Quiescent Galaxies at z ~ 2

~40% of massive compact star-forming galaxies at z = 2 are found to host an X-ray detected active galactic nucleus, a fraction 3.2x higher than that for extended star-forming galaxies with similar masses at this redshift.
