Author Susanna Kohler

Susanna Kohler is the editor of AAS Nova. She received her BS in physics from University of California at Santa Barbara in 2008 and her PhD in astrophysics from University of Colorado Boulder in 2014. Her dissertation work focused on studying and modeling the extremely energetic outflows from active black holes at galactic centers. Susanna is an administrator and former author for Astrobites and a founding organizer of ComSciCon, a science communication workshop series for graduate students. Susanna has pursued outreach in astronomy and physics for over a decade, both as a public speaker and as a freelance writer whose pieces have appeared in a variety of online publications. She is delighted to continue to share exciting astrophysics research with others now through AAS Nova.
