Greetings from the EPSC-DPS meeting in Geneva, Switzerland! We’re wrapping up a busy summer of conferences with this meeting, jointly hosted by the European Planetary Science Congress and the American Astronomical Society’s Division for Planetary Sciences. The normal posting schedule for AAS Nova will resume next week.
Why are we here? AAS publishing recently announced a brand new journal, the Planetary Science Journal. In honor of this exciting news, we’re here at EPSC-DPS 2019 to celebrate the latest research from the field of planetary science (and to bring you some of the highlights)! This year marks the third joint meeting between EPSC and DPS — and with more than 1,500 participants from around the world registered, this promises to be the largest gathering of planetary scientists held in Europe to date! More than 1,000 oral presentations and nearly as many posters are scheduled over the course of this week, with presentations broken into parallel sessions spanning six broad topics:
- Terrestrial planets
We’re looking forward to hearing about some of the latest news from this community!
